Lehigh prepards for match with Bloomsburg

The Mountain Hawks look to get back on the winning side of the tracks Wednesday with a non-league match vs. Bloomsburg. Lehigh is 10-5 on the season, while the Huskies are 9-3. Lehigh is also coming off a hard fought Patriot League loss to Colgate. In the Colgate match the Brown & White dropped all three doubles matches by scores of 8-5, 8-3, and 8-4. In singles competition, Lehigh managed only two wins. At first singles, Kristen Nowicki remained undefeated, moving to 14-0 following a 6-4, 6-2 win over Marissa Alikpala. Also earning a win for the Mountain Hawks was Kristin Mulstay. Mulstay was victorious 7-5, 3-6, 13-11. Bloomsburg is led by Erin Bartsch. Bartsch is 19-2 on the season, having earned a majority of her wins at first singles. Miranda Campbell is Bloom’s top second seeded player. Campbell is 10-4 on the season and is 8-2 at second singles this season. On the doubles side, Bartsch and Campbell have managed a 15-2 record at first doubles. Following Wednesday’s match, the Mountain Hawks have only one home contest remaining. Bucknell will invade the Lewis Tennis Center for what should be a key Patriot League match on April 23rd.
