West Virginia tops Lehigh 6-1

Bethlehem, PA – The Mountain Hawks dropped their first match in three outings Sunday, falling to West Virginia 6-1. The loss sets Lehigh back to 4-3, while WVU improves to 2-5.
Lehigh lost the doubles point, dropping all three matches. WVU won by scores of 9-7, 8-2, and 8-2.
On the singles side, the Mountain Hawks managed only one win. At first singles, Kristen Nowicki remained undefeated, dropping Melissa Day 6-4, 6-1. The Mountaineers swept the remaining singles matches as Jamie Fass, Andrea Scott, Kristen Mulstay, Danielle Suchow, and Alina Kors were all defeated.
Lehigh returns to action on March 12th in St. Petersburg, Florida vs. Eckerd.
