Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh battled hard to defeat Delaware 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks split the singles matches with the Hens but won the all-important double point to pick up the win and improve to 9-3 overall on the season. Hampered by injuries, Rachel Samson sat out her singles match but combined with teammate Erica Feinman to defeat Ellie Geese and Jessica Wilkes 8-0 at first singles. The freshmen duo of Kristin Mulstay and Jamie Fass sealed the doubles point for Lehigh with an 8-0 win over Christine Knox and Beth Principle. Fass recorded a big win at number two single defeating Jessica Wilkes in straight sets 7-6, 6-2. Andrea Scott and Renee Kaplan won their matches at fifth and sixth singles respectively. Lehigh returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Stony Brook at the Lewis Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00 and will follow the men’s match with Stony Brook, which begins at 10:30. Singles
