Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh completed a clean sweep of arch-rival Lafayette on Tuesday afternoon and the Lehigh tennis courts. Unseasonable weather for the Goodman Campus in mid-March, the teams played outside as the Mountain Hawks cruised to an easy 7-0 win over the Leopards. Lehigh improved its record in the spring to 6-3 while Lafayette fell to 1-1. Lehigh avenged a 4-3 loss to the Leopards in the fall with the win. The Brown and White won third, fifth, and sixth singles in straight sets while Rachel Samson, Erica Feinman, and Alina Kors battled through three sets at first, second, and fourth respectively. All three won the first set but dropped the second set. Samson and Feinman continued to be dominating at first doubles picking up an 8-2 win while freshmen Kristin Mulstay and Jamie Fass also cruised to an easy 8-2 win at number three. Sophomore Renee Kaplan and freshman Maria Anorga combined for a 8-5 win at number two giving Lehigh the doubles sweep. Lehigh returns to action on Saturday March 16th when it hosts West Virginia and Binghamton on the Goodman Campus. The action begins at 9:00 AM with the Binghamton match scheduled for 4:00. Singles
