Lehigh wins by forfeit over Xavier

New Orleans, LA – The Lehigh men and women each picked up a win on Tuesday afternoon with both wins being 7-0 by forfeit over Xavier. A scheduling error by Xavier forced them to forfeit giving Lehigh the win.
Cold weather and fierce winds caused Lehigh’s matches against Southeastern Louisiana to be cancelled on Sunday. The Mountain Hawks have been playing against each other while on the trip but it’s not the same says coach Dave Shook.
"Unfortunately it has been freezing and windy ever since we got here," said Shook. "Today it was actually a little warmer but Xavier messed up their scheduling so we had to forfeit which stinks. We played against ourselves but you can only do that so many times. Hopefully we’ll get some better weather the next few days and get some matches in."
Lehigh is scheduled to take on Samford at Southeastern Louisiana at 9:00 on Wednesday before heading over to the University of New Orleans for a men’s and women’s match at 2:00. The matches against Southeastern Louisiana originally scheduled for Sunday have been rescheduled for Thursday at 11:00.
