Mario Stuart got the day off to a great start with a tech fall over Matt Pelligrino of American. Then Lehigh wrestlers took four straight pins: Matt Ciasulli at 133, Matt Anderson at 149, Troy Letters at 165, and Brad Dillon at 174. Matt Cassidy then won by major decision at 197. The only loss of the first round was by Paul Weibel, who lost a 9-0 major to the No. 1 seed Matt Feast of
Cory Cooperman (141), Derek Zinck (157), and Travis Frick (184) all had byes into the quarterfinals.
Overall, Lehigh is in second place after the first round with 16.5 points, trailing Penn who has 20. The quarterfinal bouts will get underway at
