Bethlehem, PA – Led by the efforts of seniors Kelly Berk and Mary Frances Hynoski, Lehigh placed a league-best nine student-athletes from the women’s basketball team on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester. Berk, a finance major, and Hynoski, a marketing major, were two of four league-wide basketball letterwinners to register a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA) during the spring 2005 semester. To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must obtain at least a 3.2 GPA and be awarded a varsity letter in his or her sport. In all, nine Lehigh student-athletes qualified for the honor roll, tying Bucknell for the most honor roll members in the league. It comes as little surprise that the Lehigh women’s basketball squad led the entire Lehigh Athletics Department with a cumulative 3.35 team GPA during the spring 2005 semester. On the court, the Mountain Hawks posted a 19-10 mark, setting a school record for Patriot League wins. In all, 44 women’s basketball players throughout the Patriot League were selected to the Honor Roll, led by Holy Cross senior Lisa Andrews, who was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award winner. 2005 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll – Lehigh women’s basketball Name Class Major GPA Sr. Finance 4.00 So.
