League-best 12 named to Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh placed a league-best 12 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. Three Mountain Hawks led the way with spring grade point averages of over 3.9. Junior Kate Arico had a team best 3.94 GPA while sophomores Stephanie Palmieri and Katherine Wegert were right behind at 3.93. To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must obtain a minimum GPA of 3.20 and be a starter or key player in his/her sport.

Four others earned a 3.75 or better in the spring, including: sophomore Whitney Schenbeck (3.85), senior Britt Swanson (3.82), junior Ali Linsk (3.77) and sophomore Julie Sterrett (3.75). A complete list of Mountain Hawks named to the Honor Roll can be found below.

In all, 42 student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll for softball, led by Bucknell junior Lauren Wible, the Patriot League player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
