BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Kelly Fricker singled home first-year Lola Fasano in the bottom of the seventh to lead Lehigh to a 2-1 victory over Princeton Wednesday afternoon at Leadership Park. Fricker's third hit of the day lifted the Mountain Hawks to their second straight win as Lehigh knocked off Roger S. Penske/Lehigh Athletics Hall of Famer Lisa (Sweeney) Van Ackeren '09's Tigers.

Lehigh is now 18-16 on the season, while Princeton falls to 16-10.

Fricker led off the bottom of the first inning with a single, stole second and then scored on a single up the middle by junior Peyton Sward to give the Mountain Hawks an early 1-0 lead.

Princeton tied the game on Jessica Phelps' home run to left field in the second.

The game remained tied into the bottom of the seventh, with four Lehigh pitchers and three Princeton hurlers combining on one-run efforts. Fasano drew a leadoff walk and was sacrificed to second by sophomore Helen Woloshyn before Fricker dropped a single down towards the left field line, allowing Fasano to race home with the winning run.

Junior Maddy Clark earned the win in the circle after throwing a 1-2-3 top of the seventh. First-year Addison Moorman went the first two innings, allowing a run on two hits. Sophomore Madison Finnerty followed with three innings of scoreless, one-hit ball, before first-year Maddie Masiko pitched a scoreless sixth.

Lehigh totaled seven hits, led by Fricker with three. Sward, Fasano, junior Holly Lovett and first-year Maia D'Amico also registered hits.

This weekend's Patriot League series between Lehigh and Holy Cross at Leadership Park has been altered due to expected inclement weather on Sunday. The series will begin with a single game Friday at 2 p.m. followed by a doubleheader Saturday at noon.
