Lehigh Garners Team, Individual Academic Recognition From NFCA

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh softball was well represented in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's academic awards for the 2025-26 school year. Ten Mountain Hawks garnered Division I Scholar-Athlete honors, while Lehigh earned NFCA All-Academic Team status for the 15th time in 21 seasons for its team GPA during the last academic year.

The NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award is given to a player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2025-26 academic year. Lehigh's honorees include recently graduated seniors Crysta Duenas, Chloe Hess and Sydney Parlett, juniors Maddy Clark, Holly Lovett and Peyton Sward, sophomore Helen Woloshyn and first-years Maia D'Amico, Addison Moorman and Kyra Neiswender.

Lovett and Sward garnered Academic All-Patriot League honors for the 2026 season and were joined by Parlett on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

NCAA Division I had 2,637 honorees from its member institutions, who posted a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

A total of 162 Division I programs received the NFCA All-Academic Team Award, given to programs that boasted a team grade point average of 3.0 or better during the 2025-26 academic year. Lehigh, under the direction of head coach Fran Troyan, posted a 3.43 team GPA last year. Butler topped Division I with a 3.876 team GPA, followed by Eastern Illinois, Alabama, Saint Louis and Omaha.
