Lehigh fifth after day one at Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Lehigh opened play at the Bucknell Invitational on Friday afternoon and after one round of action, the Mountain Hawks find themselves in fifth place out of 17 schools. The Brown and White shot a 597 (294, 303), which places Lehigh 26 stokes off the pace of leading Rider, who totaled a 571 on the afternoon. Bucknell Blue is currently in second place, followed by St. Francis (Pa.), Bucknell and then Lehigh. Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks was Matt Denison who is currently tied for second place, with a score of 140 (70, 70).

Other Mountain Hawks who played on Friday were Steve Suarez (10 – 145), Alan Borowsky (T-39 – 154), Shane Gilroy (T-56 – 158), and Eric Feather (T-72 – 163). Tyler Brewington of Rider currently leads the competition with a score of 139.

The Bucknell Invitational will resume on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
