Men improve to eighth at GW Invitational

Issue, MD – Lehigh’s men’s golf team earned an eighth place finish at the rain-shortened George Washington Invitational on Monday. The Mountain Hawks shot a 331 at the Swan Point Yacht & Country Club. Princeton won the event with a team score of 309.
Lehigh was paced by freshman Jason Maloney, who tied for 18th place by shooting a nine-over-par 81. Both Tim Llewellyn and John Jaravata finished just two strokes behind Maloney on the day, with each posting a score of 83. Yale’s Neel Williams won the event by shooting a 73.
The Mountain Hawks return to the links on Saturday, when Lehigh takes part in the Navy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Maryland.
