Lehigh men win Big Five Classic

Philadelphia, PA – Lehigh wrapped up its fall schedule on a high note by taking first place honors at the Big Five Classic, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania at the Wissahickon Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. The Mountain Hawks and host Quakers each shot a 612 during the two-day event, but Lehigh won the playoff to ensure first place.
Lehigh was paced by Nam Kyu Park, who finished in a tie for fourth place (76-76), shooting a 152. Ron Kashlak finished one stroke behind Park on Sunday, and one stroke back overall (76-77-153). Other Lehigh finishers at the event include Patrick McCahill (73-81-154), who finished tenth, Tim Llewellyn tied for 14th with a 156, and John Jaravata rounded out the Lehigh scoring with a 167 (85-82). Pennsylvania’s Chad Perman won the individual title with a 148 (76-72).
The Big Five Classic wraps up the Mountain Hawks’ fall schedule, and Lehigh will return to the links once again in the spring.
