Men finish second at Patriot League championships

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh sophomore Patrick McCahill shot a 226 to finish fifth overall as Lehigh completed the 2003 Patriot League Championship in sole possession of second place. The host Mountain Hawks shot a 909 as a team to finish behind Navy (878), who captures its third league title in the last four years. McCahill was one of three Mountain Hawks named all-league at the 54-hole event, held on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. McCahill posted scores of 76-71-79 to finish fifth overall, with two teammates hot on his spikes. Sophomores Nam-Kyu Park (74-75-78-227) finished tied for sixth and John Jaravata (79-77-72-228) finished in an eighth place tie to capture All-Patriot League recognition. Navy’s Brian Crum took home top individual honors, with a 212 overall score including a final round 68. With the win, the Midshipmen earn the Patriot League’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championships.
