Lehigh finishes day one at Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Lehigh wrapped its first day of action at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Friday at Bucknell.  While there were no team scores on the day, Lehigh had several strong finishers.  Three different female athletes had fourth place finishes on the day, while James Pachucki had the top finish for the men, taking seventh in the javelin with a distance of 53.05 meters.

 

Ashlee Atwell picked up a fourth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.35 meters.  Emily Roth was not far behind her, coming in sixth place, with a height of 3.20 meters.  Alexis Weiner had a fourth place finish in the 5,000 meter run, crossing the finish line in 17:51.91.

 

In the 1,500 meter run, the Mountain Hawks had strong finishes on the both the men’s and women’s side.  Shannon Alejandro earned a fourth place finish with a time of 4:34.83, while Dan McClimon came in eighth place with a time of 3:57.69.

 

The teams resume competition tomorrow from Lewisburg, Pa. with the women’s shot put beginning at 10 a.m.
