Men finish third; women take sixth in Worcester

For the men, David Falk and Waleed Amer finished in fourth and sixth place respectively in the 100 meter dash, and freshman Garrett Zambrows took second in the 800 with a time of 1:50.84. Robinson took third in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing one spot behind teammate Vaclav Malek who placed second with a time of 14.93 seconds. Junior Steve Rosinksi raced his way to a fourth place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 4x100 relay team placed third with a time of 42.58. The 4x400 team won its event, crossing in a time of 3:16.32, and the 4x800 team took second place. Malek and Cody Smart finished in third and fifth place respectively in the high jump, while Craig Percopo, Brian Voorhis and Ed Schuck took second, third and fourth places in the decathlon.
Meanwhile on the women’s side, Laura Tom and Lindsey Corbetta finished five-six in the 100 meter dash, while Karen Welby took fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:13.09. Welby's time set a new school record for the outdoor 800, a mark previously held by Ellen Cogswell (1997) by an astonishing 1.5 seconds. Jen Schappert won the 5K, crossing in a time of 17:14.53 and Carolyn House took third in the 10K with a time of 37:46.44. Junior Nicole Montegary raced her way to a sixth place finish in the 100 hurdles and the 4x100 relay team finished in fourth place, crossing in a time of 48.76. The 4x400 team then ran to a fifth place finish and senior K.T. Hessler racked up 4232 points in the heptathlon to place fourth.
