Lehigh finishes competition at IC4A's at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. – Several Mountain Hawks headed to Princeton University this weekend for the 2006 IC4A Championships and after the three days of competition, the Lehigh men scored six points, with several strong performances throughout.

 

Brendan Glover finished in 17th place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, crossing in a time of 9:25.55, while Victor Vientos came in 26th place in the 5,000-meters, with a time of 15:04.68.  Freshman Scott Robinson crossed in a time of 15.23 in the 110-meter hurdle preliminary round, good for 22nd place, and David Falk finished in a time of 11.19 in the preliminary round of the 100-meters, good for 30th place.  Robinson then went onto finish in 11th place (53.39) in the 400 hurdle preliminary round and teammate Greg Horn came in 18th place (54.53) in the same race.

 

Garrett Zambrows scored two points for the Brown and White with a seventh place finish in the 800, crossing in a time of 1:52.26, while the 4x800 team of Kyle Manning, Brian Ahearn, Dave Merola and Zambrows scored four more points for the Mountain Hawks, finishing in a time of 7:36.96, good for fifth place.  In the preliminary round of the 4x400 relay, Lehigh’s team of Peter Marchildon, Horn, Robinson and Falk finished in 22nd place with a time of 3:21.00.  Senior Vaclav Malek also competed this weekend, but did not place in the high jump.

 

Lehigh returns to action on May 26 when select Mountain Hawks travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the NCAA East Regional Championships for a shot at the NCAA Championships.
