Mountain Hawks compete at ECAC/IC4A Champs

BOSTON, Mass. – Several Lehigh athletes competed in the 2006 ECAC/IC4A Championships this weekend held at the Reggie Lewis Center. For the Mountain Hawk men, senior captain Vaclav Malek scored the lone team points for the Brown and White, clearing 6’7” in the high jump, placing him in sixth place. On the women’s side, junior Jen Schappert crossed the finish line in a time of 17:10.44 in the 5000-meters, good for seventh place.

Also in the men’s action, Garrett Zambrows took part in the 800-meters, Brian Ahearn in the 1000-meters, Victor Vientos competed in the 3000-meters, Rob Hampson ran in the 5000-meters and the 4x400-meter relay team of Ahearn, Zambrows, Brian Seaback and Greg Horn also competed. Dave Merola, Kevin Ahearn, Kyle Manning and Luke Clay raced in the distance medley as well.
