Lehigh continues action at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA – Lehigh continued action on Friday at the legendary Penn Relays at Franklin Field, with many field events and sprinting events getting underway.

 

George Evans raced to a sixth place finish in the 100-meter dash in the first heat of the event, crossing the finish line in a time of 10.73 seconds.  Evans then helped out the 4x100 meter relay team to a fourth place finish in heat four of that event with a time of 41.95 seconds.

 

Jesse Ohm had a solid showing in the pole vault, clearing 4.45 meters, which placed him in a tie for seventh place in the event.  Senior Francis Vincent then recorded a jump of 6.73 meters in the long jump, placing him in twelfth place.  On Saturday, Vincent recorded a leap of 13.29 meters in the triple jump, placing him in 18th place overall.  The 4x400 men’s team then took seventh in the Pennsylvania section of the event as they finished in a time of 3:23.29.

 

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday as the Mountain Hawk athletes will be traveling to Ewing, New Jersey to compete in The College of New Jersey Invitational, with all of the action getting underway at ten.
