George Evans raced to a sixth place finish in the 100-meter dash in the first heat of the event, crossing the finish line in a time of 10.73 seconds. Evans then helped out the 4x100 meter relay team to a fourth place finish in heat four of that event with a time of 41.95 seconds.
Jesse Ohm had a solid showing in the pole vault, clearing 4.45 meters, which placed him in a tie for seventh place in the event. Senior Francis Vincent then recorded a jump of 6.73 meters in the long jump, placing him in twelfth place.
