Lewisburg, PA - Vaclav Malek and Khayla Lowe carried Lehigh all day long as the Mountain Hakws field athletes competed at the Bison Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  Malek won three events and came in second and third in two others, while Lowe came in third and fourth respectively in the heptathlon long jump and javelin.

Other Mountain Hawks that posted impressive showings on the women's side were K.T. Hessler who finished third in the heptathlon-800 with a time of 2:31.28, and as a result came in third place overall in the heptathlon with 3,896 points.

On the men's side, Malek took the overall title in the decathlon with 6,334 points, and individually he posted a first place finish in the discus with a throw of 36.70 meters.  He then followed that up with a third place finish in the pole vault with a leap of 4.16 meters.  Teammate Jesse Ohm took the title in the single pole vault event as he cleared 4.45 meters, just edging out Bucknell's Jeff Arek.

Lehigh returns to the track on April 17, when the Mountain Hawks compete in the Monmouth Games in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
