Jim Billesimo

Jim Billesimo is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Lehigh swimming and diving program. Billesimo brings over a quarter-century of coaching experience, including eight years spent working with Lehigh head coach Rob Herb at the Atlantis Aquatic Club.
From 1995-2003 Billesimo was an assistant coach for Atlantis and served as head coach for the club’s Phillipsburg, N.J. site. Billesimo was the first head coach of the women’s swimming and diving program at Marist, a position he held from 1983-87. He also spent six years as head coach of the Montclair Aquatic Club in New Jersey and was head coach of Montclair State’s men’s and women’s programs in 1987.
A mentor of numerous New Jersey State, NCAA and USA Swimming National Championships qualifiers, Billesimo also served as head boys and girls swimming coach at Phillipsburg from 2000-03.
Billesimo is a graduate of Springfield College with a BS in Exercise Science/Physical Education.
