Â
Pearson’s first season at Lehigh saw the Mountain Hawks make improvements as the year progressed. Captain Justin Gurth and Jack Fris were the veterans of the line, while sophomore George Padezanin emerged as a reliable performer at the center position.
Â
Northwestern won Big Ten West titles with Pearson on staff in 2018 and 2020 and won a Citrus Bowl championship in January 2021. Pearson helped develop Rashawn Slater, the 13th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and 2019 undrafted free agent Blake Hance. He also helped prepare true freshman Peter Skoronski for Big Ten play. Skoronski went on to be second team All-Big Ten and a freshman All-America at left tackle for the Wildcats.
Â
Prior to Northwestern, Pearson spent three seasons at Western Michigan, working with the offensive line as a graduate assistant in 2016 and 2017. At Western Michigan, Pearson coached and developed an offensive line that was ranked fourth in the nation by Pro Football Focus. He worked with All-America linemen Taylor Moton and Chuks Okorafor, both of who are current starters in the National Football League.
Â
Pearson was on staff for Western Michigan’s MAC championship season in 2016 that saw the Broncos post a 13-0 regular season as WMU earned a spot in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl against Wisconsin.
Â
In his first season at Western Michigan, Pearson served as Offensive Quality Control Coach and Strength and Conditioning Intern.
Â
A native of Scotch Plains, N.J., Pearson began his collegiate career at Temple before transferring to Wagner where he was a three-year standout for the Seahawks. A three-year letter winner, Pearson saw time at tackle and guard. He was a starter on Wagner’s 2012 squad which won a NEC title, appeared in the FCS playoffs and won its first playoff game.
Â
Pearson is a 2014 graduate of Wagner with a degree in business administration. He added a Master’s in sport management from Western Michigan in 2018.
