BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh football picked up a pair of major awards and had two players earn All-ECAC recognition as the ECAC announced its postseason football awards Thursday. Senior linebacker Tyler Ochojski was named ECAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-ECAC Team. He is joined on the All-ECAC team by senior offensive lineman Langston Jones. Vandergrift Family Head Football Coach Kevin Cahill was recognized as ECAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

To be eligible for ECAC honors a student-athlete or coach must have been first team all-league or a major award winner within their respective leagues.

Ochojski was the Patriot League's Defensive Player of the Year and recently picked up All-America honors from the Associated Press, Stats Perform and FCS Football Central. He led the Mountain Hawks with 11 sacks in 2025 and added 60 tackles and 13 tackles for loss. Ochojski was one of the top performers on a unit that led the Patriot League and ranks in the top five nationally in rushing defense, scoring defense, total defense and sacks.

Jones received four All-America laurels this week in addition to this All-ECAC nod. A four-year starter at guard, Jones helped pave the way for one of the nation's top rushing attacks. Lehigh led the Patriot League and ranks fifth in the FCS averaging 230.9 yards per game on the ground. The Mountain Hawks also rank fourth in fewest sacks allowed. Jones started all 48 of Lehigh's games at guard during his time in the Brown and White.

The Coach of the Year honor for Cahill is the latest in a line of accolades that is highlighted by his winning of the Eddie Robinson Award, given by Stats Perform to the top coach in the FCS. Cahill also oversaw the Patriot League's Coaching Staff of the Year and was recognized as the AFCA Region 1 Coach of the Year.

Lehigh posted a 12-1 season in 2025 with the Mountain Hawks winning their second consecutive Patriot League championship and advancing to the second round of the FCS Playoffs for the second straight year. The 12 wins tied the school single season record as did Lehigh's 12 consecutive wins as the Mountain Hawks posted the sixth undefeated regular season in program history.

Other ECAC major award winners include Monmouth running back Rodney Nelson (Offensive Player of the Year), Towson quarterback Andrew Indorf (Offensive Rookie of the Year) and Monmouth defensive lineman Lamont Lester Jr. (Defensive Rookie of the Year).
