BETHLEHEM, Pa.- Lehigh women's track faced off against Lafayette on Saturday at Rauch Fieldhouse. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Leopards 120-61 to earn their 17th straight win in The Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute, part of Jefferson Health. Lehigh won 16 of 17 events en route to victory.
The meet got started in the field, where Lehigh took the top two spots in every jumping event. Laura Reigle won the pole vault. The senior cleared 4.05 meters, ranking her 69th in the NCAA. Senior Corinn Brewer took second, jumping 3.75 meters. Brewer was the runner up in the long jump as well, leaping 5.34 meters. It was senior Grace Nation who won the event, clearing 5.49 meters. Nation also placed second in the triple jump, landing at 10.69 meters. Graduate student Casey Talamini-Kelemen soared 11.66 meters to take the win. Sophomore Anna Troutman won the high jump, clearing the 1.71-meter bar. This was a new high for her, and gave her sole possession of the third place spot on Lehigh's all-time indoor performance list.Â
"The thing about Anna Troutman is that she's a multi," said head coach Khayla Atte. "She's a great competitor, very coachable, and a really great teammate. She did really well."
Senior Melanie LaCorte came second, jumping 1.56 meters.
Grace Aggen was the leading thrower in both events. She first placed fourth in the weight throw, landing at 13.29 meters. She followed that up by winning the shot put, launching the shot 14.04 meters.

"It was really nice to see younger athletes stepping up," Atte stated. "They're rising to the occasion."

Junior Hope Trimmer won the one mile run in 5:04.21, setting a new personal record by one-sixteenth of a second. Just behind her was senior Lucy Afanasewicz in second place, she ran 5:06.62.
