Zizza Earns Patriot League Offensive Player And Midfielder Of The Week Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Giacomo Zizza was named both the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and Midfielder of the Week the league announced on Monday afternoon. Zizza recorded his first career brace to help Lehigh secure a point in a 3-3 draw against Army on Saturday.
Zizza powered the Mountain Hawk attack on Saturday, registering five total shots, three shots on goal while netting two goals. Zizza scored his first of the game in the 32nd minute before scoring his second in the 87th minute to cut Army's deficit to one. The Mountain Hawks then managed to tie the game off of a corner kick opportunity in the 89th minute to remain without a loss in Patriot League play.
Zizza ranks first in the Patriot League with four assists and second with eight points on the season.
The Mountain Hawks return to the pitch on Saturday, September 27 at 11 a.m. to take on the Navy Midshipmen in Annapolis.
