
Wines Shines In Victory Over Campbell

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Led by Kacie Wines' seven points, the Lehigh Mountain Hawks defeated Campbell 16-11 on Friday at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
Molly Snow had another dominant showing, recording four goals. Wines contributed two goals while adding five assists.
Lehigh got on the board with 11:20 remaining in the first quarter as Wines fed a ball to Gracie Shoup who gave Lehigh a 1-0 lead. Thirty seconds later, Grace Martel boosted Lehigh's lead to 2-0. Campbell got on the board at 10:02, making it a 2-1 game.
The next goal came in the final minute of the first quarter as Wines scored a free position shot, putting Lehigh up 3-1 heading into the second.
Lehigh opened the second with a three-goal run to take a 6-1 lead, featuring two goals by Angelina Pino and one from Snow. Momentum shifted over to the Camels, as they responded on a 4-0 run to close out the first half. Lehigh held a slim 6-5 advantage at intermission.
At 14:19 in the third quarter, Campbell opened the second half with a goal, tying it up at 6-6. Lehigh scored three goals in the next three minutes, with Grace Martel, Shannon Nolan and Wines each adding a goal in the run to lead 9-6.
Following the Mountain Hawk run, Campbell netted a goal to make it 9-7. Lehigh and the Camels traded goals for the remainder of the third quarter, with Snow scoring all three as Lehigh led 12-9 going into the fourth.
Gracie Shoup opened the fourth quarter with back-to-back goals, extending Lehigh's lead to 14-9 with 11:24 remaining. At 10:25, Campbell scored a free position goal to reach double figures as Lehigh led 14-10.
At 8:16, Martel scored a free position shot pushing Lehigh's lead to 15-10. The next goal came with three minutes left as Campbell capitalized on a free position shot, making it 15-11. Less than a minute later, Chloe DelNegro took the ball all the way to goal, solidifying Lehigh's 16-11 victory over Campbell.
Snow led Lehigh in draw controls with seven, while Martel added two. Both Camilla Madonna and Brynn Freeman led the Mountain Hawks with two caused turnovers.
Lehigh opens Patriot League play next Saturday at American with opening draw set for noon.
