
Dow and Checo Named Midseason All-Americans

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's lacrosse had two players recognized as 2025 Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-Americans, as announced on Thursday afternoon. Senior faceoff specialist Sean Dow and junior defenseman Richard Checo both earned honorable mention All-America honors.
Dow has had an exceptional start to the season, posting career-high numbers at the faceoff stripe. The Simpsonville, S.C., native has been named Patriot League Faceoff Specialist of the Week twice. His standout performance came in a 13-8 win over No. 18 Navy, where he won 23-of-25 faceoffs and recorded 14 ground balls. Dow ranks sixth in the nation in faceoff win percentage (65.2%) and 10th in ground balls per game (7.38). Overall, he has won 103-of-158 faceoffs and leads the team with 59 ground balls.
Checo, a two-time All-American, has also been outstanding this season. He currently ranks third in the nation in caused turnovers per game (2.86), with 22 caused turnovers and 22 ground balls to his name. The Oakton, Va., native has forced multiple turnovers in six of Lehigh's eight games, including a season-high seven caused turnovers in a matchup against Army. Over the course of his career, Checo has caused 124 turnovers, ranking second in program history.
The Mountain Hawks will host Loyola on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
