BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two Lehigh men's lacrosse players have earned USILA Honorable Mention All-America honors, as announced Thursday morning.

Junior defenseman Richard Checo and senior faceoff specialist Sean Dow were both recognized for their outstanding performances this season. This marks Checo's third All-America honor of the year and the second for Dow.

Checo, a native of Oakton, Va., has now been named an All-American by every major lacrosse association since his arrival at Lehigh as a first-year. Widely regarded as one of the top defenders in program history, Checo ranks second all-time at Lehigh with 148 career caused turnovers. He led all NCAA Division I players this season in caused turnovers per game (3.29) and finished second on the team in ground balls (40). Checo forced multiple turnovers in 12 games, including a season-high seven against Army on March 15. Checo earned first team All-Patriot League honors this season for the third time in program history.

Dow, from Simpsonville, S.C., capped off his Lehigh career with a breakout season. He ranked sixth nationally in faceoff win percentage (63.4%) and eighth in ground balls per game (7.60). A dominant force in Patriot League play, Dow led the conference in both categories and won an impressive 73.3% of faceoffs during league games. He was named Patriot League Player of the Week four times and earned first team All-Patriot League honors.
