Lehigh Goes 4-0 Saturday at Gannon Women's Wrestling Duals

ERIE, Pa. – Lehigh women's wrestling continued its winning ways with a 4-0 showing at the Gannon Women's Duals Saturday. The Mountain Hawks posted wins over Otterbein (34-13), Waynesburg (47-0), West Liberty (33-10) and host Gannon (26-17) to move to 13-0 on the dual season.
Audrey Jimenez (110), Abbi Cooper (117) and Aubre Krazer (131) all went 4-0 on the day for the Mountain Hawks. The tandem of Kryssceah Ravenelle and Mary Manis combined to go 4-0 at 138, and Angelina Jiang went 3-0 and delivered the biggest win of the day in its final dual of the day against Gannon.
Lehigh led Gannon 19-6 after six bouts, only to see the Golden Knights win three straight bouts to get within 21-17. Jiang bumped up two weight classes to wrestle 207 and pinned Caroline Biegel in the first period to deliver the Mountain Hawks their fourth win of the day.
The Mountain Hawks' day began with a 34-13 win over Otterbein. Lehigh won eight of the 10 bouts, including falls by Cooper and Genevieve An (207), and added six technical superiority victories.
In its second dual of the day, Lehigh shut out Waynesburg behind pins by Krazer, Jiang, up at 180, and An (up at 207), plus three technical falls and four forfeits.
Lehigh won eight of 10 bouts against West Liberty, including falls from Alexa Ciliotta (124), Sydney Thompson (145) and An (180).
The Mountain Hawks will now break for final exams and will return to action at the Midlands Championships, Dec. 30 in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
