EVANSTON, Ill. – First-year Aubre Krazer won the 131-pound title and was named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler, leading a 16-wrestler contingent at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships Tuesday at Ryan Fieldhouse.
Krazer went 4-0, highlighted by a last-second pin in a 1-vs.-2 matchup in the finals, and added a third trophy when she received the Sportsmanship Award from tournament officials. She was one of three Mountain Hawks to earn top-6 podium finishes, along with Genevieve An, who took fourth at 180, and Kryssceah Ravenelle, the sixth place finisher at 138.
Thirteen of Lehigh's 16 entrants won at least one bout Tuesday.
Krazer's tournament began with back-to-back first period technical falls. A 10-1 win over North Central's Yele Aycock set up a finals match with No. 1 Alexis Janiak of Aurora. Krazer scored a late takedown to go up 5-1 in the final seconds and then secured the Midlands title by securing the fall as time expired.
An joined Krazer as a semifinalist for the Mountain Hawks. After a semifinal loss to eventual champion Shenita Lawson (North Central), An rebounded with a wild, come-from-behind, 12-9 decision over Reka Busa from Life University in the consolation semifinals. An led her third place bout 5-2 at the break before Brooke Huffman scored an early second period takedown and secured a fall at 3:36.
Ravenelle rebounded from a quarterfinal loss to win two straight consolation matches to earn her podium place. An 11-4 decision over Christina Jaen (Life University) secured a place in the top six, before Ravenelle dropped her next two matches.
Alexa Ciliotta (124) and Mary Manis (138) both won two matches Tuesday, while Leila Sidhu finished one win shy of the podium at 117.
Lehigh's 57 team points were good for fifth place in the standings.
The Mountain Hawks will return to action with a tri-meet against Iowa and Otterbein at Iowa on Sunday, Jan. 18.
The 2025-26 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
