Lehigh Welcomes Delaware State, ESU Thursday For Home-Opening Tri-Meet

12/3/2025 2:07:00 PM | Women's Wrestling

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A busy weekend for Lehigh women's wrestling begins with its first home competition as a varsity program, as the Mountain Hawks will welcome Delaware State and East Stroudsburg to Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall for a tri-meet on Thursday.

Lehigh will kick things off against Delaware State at 4 p.m. and will conclude the tri-meet against ESU at 7 p.m. In between, the Hornets and Warriors will wrestle at 5:30 p.m. Streaming video for the matches will be available on FloWrestling.org.

Fans in attendance Thursday will receive a free Lehigh wrestling schedule magnet, while supplies last.

Following the home tri-meet, Lehigh will head west for the Gannon Women's Wrestling Duals Saturday in Erie, Pa.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a team title at the Warrior Duals at East Stroudsburg on Nov. 23. Lehigh went 6-0 on the day to increase its season record to 7-0, but the Mountain Hawks did not face the host Warriors that day.

Six Mountain Hawks appear in the latest rankings by The Open Mat, led by Audrey Jimenez, who is ranked first at 110. Aubre Krazer is ranked No. 2 at 131 and Abbi Cooper comes in at No. 9 at 117. Also ranked for Lehigh are Kryssceah Ravenelle (No. 15 at 138), Angelina Jiang (No. 14 at 160) and Genevieve An (No. 11 at 180).

In the team rankings, Lehigh is No. 6 in dual meet rankings and No. 8 in tournament strength.

Thursday's tri-meet will be the first women's wrestling event as a varsity program. In January, Lehigh's club team hosted a dual against Columbia's club team with the Mountain Hawks winning convincingly.

Delaware State is also in its first season as a varsity program with the Mountain Hawks and Hornets two of the six Division I institutions to sponsor women's wrestling. East Stroudsburg is 5-1 in duals this season. The Warriors also hosted the season-opening ESU Open where both Lehigh and Delaware State competed.

On Sunday, Lehigh heads to Erie for the Gannon Women's Wrestling Duals, which will begin at 9 a.m. at Gannon's Wellness and Recreation Center. The other teams joining Lehigh and Gannon at the event are Otterbein, King, Waynesburg and West Liberty.

Streaming video will be available on Gannon's YouTube channel.

Following this weekend's action, Lehigh will break for final exams and will return to action at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, Dec. 30 in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
