No. 4 Lehigh Hosts Holy Cross In Final Regular Season Home Tilt

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh hosts its final regular season home game as Holy Cross visits Goodman Stadium Saturday on Community Heroes Day and Youth Football Day. The Mountain Hawks used a dominant all-around performance to pick up its first shutout victory since 2009 as Lehigh defeated Georgetown 41-0 at home last Saturday. The win helped vault the Mountain Hawks to No. 4 in the national polls, Lehigh's highest ranking since September 2002. Senior Tyler Ochojski had three of Lehigh's seven sacks and was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Holy Cross comes in at 1-8 overall and has dropped its last two games, including a 21-13 home setback against Lafayette last weekend.

Lehigh's defense pitched a 41-0 shutout against Georgetown, for the Mountain Hawks' first shutout victory since a 27-0 blanking of the Hoyas on Oct. 10, 2009. The Mountain Hawks allowed just 271 yards of offense, registered seven sacks and took the ball away twice. Lehigh also stopped a 4th-and-goal from the 1-yard line in the game's final minute. The Mountain Hawks now have six shutouts since the year 2000. Four of them have come against Georgetown (2002, 2007, 2009, 2025). The other two shutouts were against Bucknell in 2002 and against Drake in 2008.

Linebacker Tyler Ochojski enjoyed a monster game against Georgetown, registering three of Lehigh's seven sacks along with four tackles for loss in the Mountain Hawks' 41-0 shutout. He was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Ochojski now has 42 tackles in 2025 with 9.5 tackles for loss and a team-best 7.5 sacks. He earned his first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award after a two-sack effort at Duquesne, including a forced fumble that ultimately sealed the win for Lehigh. At Fordham, Ochojski finished second on the team with eight tackles and added 1.5 of Lehigh's five sacks.

Lehigh needs one more victory to reach the 10-win mark for the 11th time in program history and the first time since the 2012 squad finished 10-1. With one more win, Lehigh would have its sixth 10-win campaign since 2000.

Lehigh moved up to No. 4 in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and the AFCA Coaches Poll, marking the program's highest ranking since the Mountain Hawks were ranked fourth on Sept. 23, 2002.

Holy Cross brings a 1-8 overall record and 1-3 Patriot League mark into Goodman Stadium. The Crusaders have won or shared the last six Patriot League titles and six of their eight losses this year have been by eight points or fewer, including last week's 21-13 home loss to Lafayette. Holy Cross' lone win came at Richmond on Oct. 18. The Crusader defense has kept Holy Cross in most games, while the offense is averaging 271.1 yards and 18.2 points per game. Running back Jayden Clerveaux has 540 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead the offense. Holy Cross has used three quarterbacks, with Dominic Campanile starting against Lafayette last week. Max Mosey is Holy Cross' top receiver and also has two punt return touchdowns this season. Cam Santee leads the defense with 86 tackles and 11 tackles for loss.

Lehigh and Holy Cross get together for the 41st time with Lehigh leading the series 20-19-1. The Mountain Hawks' win in Worcester last year snapped a six-game Crusader win streak in the series. These teams first met in 1924 and did not meet again until 1986. Lehigh will look to defeat Holy Cross at Goodman Stadium for the first time since a 34-21 triumph in 2017.
