Lehigh Wins Warrior Duals Title Behind 6-0 Sunday Showing

11/23/2025 5:32:00 PM | Women's Wrestling

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Lehigh women's wrestling captured the team title Sunday at the Warrior Duals, hosted by East Stroudsburg at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Mountain Hawks went 6-0 in duals Sunday, rolling through their five-dual round robin before defeating Lock Haven for the second time in eight days.

Excluding forfeits, Lehigh wrestlers dropped just seven bouts on the day. The Mountain Hawks posted victories over Elmira College (33-15), Sacred Heart (31-12), New England College (43-1), Liberty (41-5) and Marymount (40-6).

That 5-0 showing earned Lehigh another date with Lock Haven, with the Mountain Hawks winning 30-13. With a victory over Sacred Heart earlier in the day, a seventh dual was not needed and Lehigh was awarded the trophy.

In its opening dual of the day, Lehigh won seven of the first nine bouts against Elmira College and went 5-2 in non-forfeits.

Audrey Jimenez made her season debut against Sacred Heart with a first period pin over Tiffany Stoshak at 110. After dropping the opening bout at 103, Lehigh won the next eight matches, including five consecutive technical falls, against the Pioneers.

Pins from Natalia Accorsi (124), Aubre Krazer (131) and Genevieve An (180) highlighted the dominant win over New England College.

Lehigh won all seven contested bouts against Liberty, a club team whose results will not count towards wrestlers' season records, and also won the seven contested bouts against Marymount.

The win over Lock Haven was highlighted by pins from Mary Manis (138) and Julia Fongaro (145). An avenged a loss to Lindsay Laws in last week's dual with a 10-0 technical fall.

In addition to the Warrior Duals, Lehigh also sent seven wrestlers to the Missouri Valley College Open, Friday-Saturday in Marshall, Mo. All seven Mountain Hawk entrants won at least one bout, with Makynna Loepp leading the way with three victories.

The Mountain Hawks will be off from competition over Thanksgiving weekend and will host their first home event as a varsity program on Thursday, Dec. 4 when Lehigh hosts Delaware State and East Stroudsburg for a tri-meet beginning at 4 p.m. from Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall.
