
Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinal Action Kicks Off At Army On Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The No. 6 seeded Lehigh women's lacrosse program heads to No. 3 Army for Patriot League quarterfinal action at noon on Sunday at West Point, N.Y.

In the regular-season matchup on March 30, the Black Knights earned a 19-7 win over the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh took an early 5-2 lead after the first quarter, but Army held a steady lead after an eight-goal second quarter.Â

Graduate student Gabby Schneider led Lehigh with two goals and two assists while senior Olivia Memeger chipped in two goals. For Army, the Preseason Patriot League Midfielder of the Year Brigid Duffy tallied seven goals and two assists.

Lehigh is 7-8 and 3-6 in Patriot League play, while Army is 9-7 overall and 7-2 in league play. The all-time series between Army and Lehigh is knotted up at 5-5.Â

Following the quarterfinal round, the lowest-remaining seed heads to host No. 1 Loyola on Thursday at 3 p.m., while the highest-remaining seed plays No. 2 Navy at 7 p.m. The Patriot League Championship is set for Saturday, May 4, at 2:30 p.m. in Baltimore, Md.
