Lehigh Heads To Navy For Three-Game Weekend Series

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Patriot League play continues for Lehigh baseball this weekend in Annapolis, Md. for a three-game series between the Mountain Hawks and the Navy Midshipmen. With ten league games remaining on their schedule, the Mountain Hawks will look to get back on track this weekend in their pursuit for a berth in the Patriot League tournament.
Lehigh (19-16-1, 6-9 PL) last competed on Wednesday, falling in a seven-inning contest to rival Lafayette 13-3. The Mountain Hawks squared off against Bucknell in Lewisburg the prior weekend, going 1-2 against the Bison to claim a 3-2 season-series win. Lehigh and Lafayette are now tied in the Patriot League standings with the Leopards holding the tiebreaker after winning the season-series 3-2.
Navy (21-16, 11-8 PL) welcomed Bucknell to Annapolis for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, falling by a score of 7-4. Over the weekend, the Midshipmen traveled to Worcester, Mass. for a three-game series against Holy Cross, dropping a doubleheader on Saturday while defeating the Crusaders 7-2 on Sunday. The Midshipmen currently rank second in the Patriot League standings behind Army West Point.
