
Kisker Breaks School Record on Final Day of Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Sophomore Ben Kisker set a school record in the 200-yard backstroke (1:46.95) at the Patriot League Championships Saturday night at Lejeune Hall. Kisker held the previous record (1:47.56), which he set at last year's Patriot League Championships.
Kisker's time gave him a 10th-place finish and 17 points for the Mountain Hawks, which is the most individual points scored on the day for Lehigh. Kisker scored a team-best of 34 individual points for Lehigh.Â
Saturday also marked the final day of the Patriot League Championships, with the men finishing in sixth-place with 448.50 points. Boston University was in fifth with 600 points, and Lafaytte was in sixth with 393 points. Navy won the team title after scoring 1,639 points.Â
In addition to Kisker scoring points for Lehigh in the 200-yard backstroke, first-year Matt McLellan finished in 21st and scored three points after swimming a personal-best time of 1:51.89.Â
Tim Norris and Jack DeVilbiss both were in the 100-yard C-Final, with Norris coming in 18th (45.23) and DeVilbiss tying for 22nd place (45.65).
Lehigh's youth movement continued to make waves on Saturday as first-year Carson Morris was the lone Mountain Hawk to qualify for the finals in the 200-yard breaststroke. Morris finished in 23rd with a time of 2:06.02.Â
The 200-yard butterfly featured four Mountain Hawks with Miles Cox in the B-Final and Connor Goodyear, Jack Krause and Alex Patti all in the C-Final. Cox came in 10th after swimming a personal best time of 1:48.99, Goodyear finished in 18th place (1:51.37) and Krause and Patti both finished in 23rd (1:52.82) and 24th (1:53.31), respectively.Â
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Elvin Lee, Aaron Williams, DeVilbiss and Norris closed out the Patriot League Championships with a sixth-place finish (1:53.31).Â
