
Mountain Hawks Continue 2024 Campaign in the Sunshine State at Jacksonville

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's lacrosse team hits the road for its first away game of the season, flying down to Jacksonville for a 4 p.m. matchup on Friday.

Lehigh (0-1) opened its season with an 11-7 loss to Delaware last Friday at Ulrich Sports Complex. Three goal-scorers earned their first points of the season with graduate student Gabby Schneider (3 goals, 1 assist), senior Olivia Memeger (2 goals, 1 assist) and first-year Molly Snow netting her first two collegiate goals. Sophomore Lauren Warfield contributed her first career assist on Schneider's third goal. Defensively, junior Julia DiConza was named a Patriot League weekly honorable mention after picking up three ground balls and producing two caused turnovers.

Jacksonville (0-1) finished with a record of 12-8 last season, starting off 2024 with a 19-1 loss to Michigan on opening weekend. Senior LaRen Blakesley scored the lone goal for the Dolphins. Junior Brianna Samuels is Jacksonville's top returning scorer, finishing third with 38 goals and seven assists, good for 45 points.Â
