Mountain Hawks Claim Third Place Finish At UAlbany Invitational

DELMAR, N.Y. – The Lehigh women's golf team finished third out of 12 teams at the UAlbany Great Danes Invitational, which wrapped up Sunday at Normanside Country Club. The Mountain Hawks held the 18-hole team lead and shot 312 on Sunday to finish at 606 (294-312). Lehigh's opening round 294 was the second-lowest single round score in program history.

A strong day Sunday lifted junior Yuki Zhu into the top position among Lehigh players. Zhu shot three over par 73 and moved into a tie for fourth place at 149 (76-73). Her final round included two birdies.

Sophomore Stefania Fedun followed up an opening round 72 with an 80 on Sunday and tied for 11th place at 152. First-year Reese Hannon was one stroke behind Fedun at 153 (71-82). Hannon tied for 15th place.

Senior Madison Pineda tied for 30th place at 156 (75-81). She carded one birdie in her final round.

First-year Alana Hall joined Zhu with an improvement from round one to round two. Hall shot 78 Sunday after an opening round 81 and tied for 42nd place.

Seton Hall claimed the team title at 601 (303-298), five strokes ahead of the Mountain Hawks. Boston University finished second, one stroke behind the Pirates.

Christy Chen of Boston University and Marta Aguilar of Seton Hall tied for top individual at five over par 145.

The Mountain Hawks will close out their fall season when they host the Lehigh Invitational, Oct. 19-20 on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
