Lehigh Tied For Fourth After 18 Holes At Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team shot 320 Saturday in the opening round of the Lehigh Invitational Saturday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. Senior Madison Pineda and first-year Reese Hannon led the way individually as Lehigh is tied with UAlbany for fourth place in a nine-team field.

Pineda and Hannon both shot seven over par 79 with Hannon carding a pair of birdies and Pineda making one. They are tied for 14th place.

Sophomore Stefania Fedun and junior Yuki Zhu both shot 81 and are tied for 21st place. Both players made one birdie on Saturday.

Sophomore Bella Scanapicco is tied for 44th place after shooting 90.

Three Mountain Hawks are competing as individuals. Sophomore Olivia Lu and first-year Alana Hall both shot 86 and are tied for 37th place, while senior Sophie Chang carded a 99.

Navy shot 300 as a team and holds a 17-stroke lead over FDU entering Sunday's final round. The Midshipmen have the top two individuals as well with Keira Howard (73) leading teammate Emma Tang and Fairfield's Katelynn Waclawski by one stroke.

The Lehigh Invitational concludes Sunday with the final round beginning at 9:30 a.m. Lehigh's scoring team will play with Monmouth and Fairfield, going off the 10th tee beginning at 10:20.
