Mountain Hawks Conclude Fall By Tying For Third At Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's golf team closed out its fall season by tying for third place out of 12 teams at the Lehigh Invitational, which concluded Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Mountain Hawks matched their round one score of 320 to finish at 640, tying Lehigh with Fairfield and FDU for third in the nine-team field.
 
First-year Reese Hannon led the way for Lehigh, tying for fourth place at 154 (79-75). Hannon made an eagle on her next-to-last hole, the par 4 eighth.
 
Senior Madison Pineda was Lehigh's next-highest finisher, tying for 19th place at 161 (79-82). Pineda's final round included one birdie.
 
Sophomore Stefania Fedun tied for 22nd place at 162 after back-to-back rounds of 81. Junior Yuki Zhu was one stroke behind Fedun, claiming 25th place at 163 (81-82). Zhu made a pair of birdies in her final round.
 
Rounding out Lehigh's scoring team was sophomore Bella Scanapicco, who tied for 41st place at 173 (90-83).
 
Lehigh had three players competing as individuals, led by first-year Alana Hall, who finished in 40th place at 172 (86-86). Hall matched Zhu with two final round birdies.
 
Sophomore Olivia Lu finished in 43rd place at 175 (86-89), while senior Sophie Chang finished in 48th place at 192 (99-93).
 
Navy claimed the team title at 614 (300-314), 22 strokes better than runner-up UAlbany.
 
Katelynn Waclawski of Fairfield was the individual medalist at six over par 150 (74-76). Waclawski beat Navy's Megan Kirkpatrick by two strokes.
 
The Lehigh Invitational concludes Lehigh's fall season.
