Mountain Hawks, Hannon Second After Opening Round Of Lehigh Invitational

BEDMINSTER, N.J. – The Lehigh women's golf team shot 306 in the opening round of the Lehigh Invitational Saturday at Trump National Golf Club. Sophomore Reese Hannon led the way with a round of one under par 71 as Lehigh sits in second place in a 15-team field. Lehigh trails first place Old Dominion by two strokes, while Navy sits in third, one stroke behind the Mountain Hawks.
Hannon carded four birdies Saturday and sits in second place, two strokes behind individual leader Puneet Bajwa of Old Dominion, who shot 69. Bajwa and Hannon were the only two players under par on Saturday.
Senior Yuki Zhu shot four over par 76 and is tied for 11th place. Zhu made one birdie in her opening round.
First-year Alisia Ren shot 78 with 12 pars and six bogeys and is tied for 20th place.
Junior Stefania Fedun and sophomore Alana Hall are part of a tie for 36th place at nine over par 81. Hall made one birdie in her opening round.
Lehigh's three individuals were led by junior Bella Scanapicco who shot 81 with one birdie and is part of the tie for 36th place.
First-year Bridget Yu shot 82 with two birdies and is tied for 46th place, while first-year Sienna Mosquera shot 86 and is tied for 65th place. Mosquera carded one birdie in Saturday's round.
The Lehigh Invitational concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes at Trump National Golf Club. A shotgun start is set for 11 a.m.
