Fedun's Top Three Finish Helps Lehigh To Third Place At Battle At The Creek

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Junior Stefania Fedun tied for third place to lead the Mountain Hawks to a third place team finish at the Battle at the Creek, which wrapped up Tuesday at King's Creek Country Club. The Mountain Hawks shot a final round 317 to finish the 54-hole event at 923 (293-313-317).

Fedun finished at nine over par 222 (73-73-76) to tie for third place, four strokes behind medalist Kristina Xu of Columbia. Her final round 76 Tuesday included one birdie.

Senior Yuki Zhu was Lehigh's No. 2 finisher, tying for 12th place at 229 (76-77-76). Zhu's final round included two birdies.

Sophomore Alana Hall tied for 29th place at 237 (74-82-81). Hall's final round included one birdie.

Making her collegiate debut, first-year Alisia Ren tied for 39th place at 240 (75-81-84). Ren's final round 84 included one birdie.

One stroke behind Ren was sophomore Reese Hannon, who tied for 42nd place at 241 (71-86-84). Hannon's opening round 71 was the low round for the Mountain Hawks over the two-day tournament.

Bucknell captured the team title with a final total of 899. The Bison beat Columbia by two strokes.

Next up for the Mountain Hawks will be the Autumn Harvest tournament, Sept. 29-30 at Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong, N.J.
