Koski Adds Young to Class of 2027

Lehigh men's soccer head coach Dean Koski has announced the addition of Alfonso Young to the class of 2027. Young will join six first-years in the class of 2027, which were announced earlier this summer.

"We are excited to add a late addition to our incoming '23 class, Alfonso Young", said head coach Dean Koski. "Alfonso plays for a highly competitive club, Albion SD, in the MLS Next league and joins a fellow Californian, senior captain Nolan Jetter. Alfonso's versatility, soccer acumen and work rate will serve him well in the Patriot League and the NCAA Division I level of competition. We welcome Alfonso and his family to our program and university.

Young, a native of Del Mar, Calif., attended Torrey Pines High School. A central midfielder and outside back, Young was voted as the best XI at the MLS Next Maryland quarterfinals in 2022. He was also invited to the U.S. Soccer National Training in 2019.

Young also excelled in the classroom at Torrey Pines, where he carried a 4.1 gpa.
