Six Mountain Hawks Land on All-League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse had six players land on the All-Patriot League teams, as announced Monday afternoon by the league. Hayley Hunt, Gabby Schneider and Olivia Memeger were named to the first team, while Cassie Marte, Emma Eberhardt and Julia DiConza were named second team All-Patriot League.
Hunt was named to the first team for the first time in her career. The junior goalkeeper is second in the league in saves per game (9.00). She has started all 17 games for Lehigh. Hunt has recorded 153 saves this season. She has six games this season where she's recorded double-digit saves. Hunt was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week twice this season, including earlier on Monday after she had 10 saves in the 17-11 win over Colgate. Hunt also allowed just eight goals in the Patriot League quarterfinal win over Holy Cross.
Schneider is now a three-time first team All-Patriot League honoree. The senior attacker has had a very productive season, despite teams face-guarding her. Schneider became Lehigh's all-time assist leader this season. She now has 117 assists this season She is fourth in the league in points per game (4.12), seventh in the league in assists per game (1.59) and ninth in the league in goals per game (2.13). Schneider has recorded at least two points in all 17 games this season. She had a season-high of eight points against Saint Francis.
Memeger was named to the first team All-Patriot League after a career-best season. She leads the team with 75 points. The junior has scored 48 goals and recorded 27 assists. Memeger is fifth in the league in goals per game (2.82), fourth in the league in points per game (4.41) and eighth in the league in assists per game (1.59). The Strath Haven, Pa., native recorded her 100th career point against Holy Cross on April 22. She has started all 17 games and has scored in every single game. Memeger had six points (4G, 2A) in Lehigh's quarterfinal win.
Eberhardt was named to the second team all-league for the second time in her career. It's the third honor of her career, as she was named first team All-Patriot League last season. Eberhardt has had a very productive season and has been instrumental in different aspects on the field. She's ninth in the league in points per game (3.38) and ninth in the league in assists per game (1.53). She has also won 69 draw controls, grabbed 27 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers. Eberhardt has tallied six points in each of Lehigh's last three games.
Marte earned the first all-league honors of her career. She is having a career-high season in the brown and white. She is Lehigh's single-season record holder in draw controls (111). Marte ranks third in the league in draw controls per game (6.53) and fifth in the league in caused turnovers per game (1.47). Marte has also recorded a career-high 32 points this season. She has scored 20 goals and tallied 12 assists. In Lehigh's last three games, Marte has won 35 draw controls.
DiConza earned the first all-league honors of her young career as well. DiConza has been a very strong defender for Lehigh and often draws the toughest matchup. She has picked up 15 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. DiConza tallied two caused turnovers against Holy Cross, and has three games where she has caused multiple turnovers.
