Hunt Named Goalkeeper of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's lacrosse junior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced Monday morning by the league.
This is Hunt's second time this season earning Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors. She first earned the honors on March 13 after allowing just three goals against Lafayette in the 15-3 victory.
Hunt had 10 saves, five ground balls and caused two turnovers Lehigh's 17-11 win against Colgate last Thursday. Hunt has been strong in the net for Lehigh. The Philadelphia native is second in the league in goals against per game (9.00). Hunt has made 153 saves for Lehigh this season. In her last four games, she's tallied 39 saves.
Hunt was credited with nine saves and allowed just eight goals in the 20-8 Patriot League Quarterfinal win. She finished with a save percentage of 52.9%.
In addition to Hunt being named the goalkeeper of the week, both Emma Eberhardt and Julia DiConza earned Patriot League honorable mention honors. Eberhardt had six points (3G,3A against Colgate). Eberhardt also won five draw controls. DiConza anchored a defense that allowed just 11 goals. She had two ground balls against the Raiders.
Hunt and the Mountain Hawks will travel to Baltimore to take on top-seeded Loyola on Thursday at 3 p.m. Thursday's game will be streamed on ESPN+.
