Lehigh to Conclude Non-League Schedule vs. No. 22 Penn on Tuesday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's lacrosse team will close out the non-conference schedule on Tuesday against No. 22 Penn in a 5 p.m. game at the Ulrich Sports Complex. 

The Mountain Hawks are coming off of a 17-13 win vs. Bucknell. They are 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot League. Penn is 5-4 overall and 2-0 in the Ivy League. The Quakers suffered a 17-13 loss to No. 8 Florida on Saturday.

Lehigh's only non-conference loss of the season was to Delaware on Feb. 10, which also marked the season-opener for the Mountain Hawks.

The Mountain Hawks are 5-8 all-time against the Quakers. The last meeting came in 2017 when Lehigh lost 17-9 to then No.12 Penn. Penn has won the last two meetings. 

Saturday's game marked a milestone game for senior Gabby Schneider. She became Lehigh's all-time assist leader, passing Alison LaBeau's record (105 assists). Schneider now has 109 assists. She had seven points against Bucknell. Schneider also is close to reaching another milestone needing just one more goal to reach the 100-goal mark. 

Schneider earned Patriot League honorable mention honors after her two games this week. She also scored three points against No. 13 Army last Wednesday.

Senior Emma Eberhardt is close to reaching 100 goals as well as she is at 98 for her career.

Junior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt earned a Patriot League honorable mention after tallying a season-high of 16 saves versus No. 13 Army. Hunt had eight saves in the win over Bucknell. She owns a 47.2% save percentage through 11 games.

Senior midfielder Cassie Marte was instrumental in the win over Bucknell. She had a career-high of 12 draw controls, which was just two shy of Lehigh'sindividual single-game record. 

Niki Miles leads the way for Penn. She has scored 30 points (25 G, 5A). Anna Brandt is right behind her with 28 points (27 G, 1A). 

Lehigh averages 12.18 goals per game, and Penn averages 13.44 goals per game.

Following Tuesday's game, Lehigh will head to Washington, D.C. to take on American Saturday at 12 p.m.
