Schedule Set For This Weekend's Patriot League Women's Tennis Tournament

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women's tennis team will be seeded sixth at this weekend's Patriot League Tournament as seeds and brackets were announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks will face host and No. 3 seed Army West Point in the third of four quarterfinal matchups, currently scheduled for 12:45 p.m. Friday at West Point, N.Y.
The Mountain Hawks finished the regular season at 6-10 overall and 2-5 in Patriot League play. Lehigh posted league wins over Loyola and Lafayette and will have a rematch with the Army team the Mountain Hawks dropped a 5-2 decision against in their league finale last Saturday. Lehigh enters the tournament on the heels of a 7-0 shutout win over Binghamton on Sunday.
Army, the defending Patriot League Tournament champions, finished the regular season at 19-8 overall and 4-2 in the league.
The Patriot League Tournament kicks off Thursday with the opening round match between No. 8 Lafayette and No. 9 Holy Cross at 1 p.m.
Friday's action begins at 8:30 a.m. with No. 1 seed Boston University facing the winner of Thursday's match. No. 4 Bucknell will face No. 5 Colgate at 10:15 a.m., followed by Lehigh and Army West Point at 12:45 p.m. The fourth quarterfinal, matching No. 2 Navy and No. 7 Loyola will begin at 3:15 p.m.
Saturday's semifinals are slated for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. with the championship match set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
