BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Dom Patrizi has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.  Patrizi was one of Lehigh's most productive hitters in a 4-0 showing last week that was capped by a three-game Patriot League series sweep at Holy Cross.

Patrizi started all four games at second base and batted .467 (7-for-15), with two doubles, seven runs scored and two RBIs. In Saturday's doubleheader sweep in Worcester, Mass., Patrizi went 5-for-8 with five runs scored and two driven in.

In Saturday's first game, Patrizi went 2-for-3 and drove in runs with a fourth-inning bunt single on a squeeze play and a sixth-inning double which put Lehigh up 7-2 in a game the Mountain Hawks went on to win 10-2.

In game two Saturday, Patrizi went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored as Lehigh claimed a 14-12 victory.

For the season, Patrizi is now hitting .397 with 19 runs scored, four doubles and 11 RBIs.

Fifth-year Casey Rother picked up honorable mention recognition Tuesday following a record-setting weekend in the power department. Rother hit three home runs and drove in nine in four games last week. In Saturday's second game against Holy Cross, Rother went 2-for-3 with two home runs and six runs batted in. His first home run of the game was the 29th of his career, breaking Lehigh's career record previously held by Jesse Novalis '04. With nine RBIs on the weekend, Rother also broke Novalis' career RBI record (was 148) and currently sits at 154. Rother's second home run of the game was a three-run blast that gave Lehigh an 11-8 lead and also was his 13th of the season, tying Rother with Jacen Nalesnik (2017) and Mike Garzillo (2015) for Lehigh's single season record.

The four wins last week moved Lehigh to 17-20 overall and 4-10 in Patriot League action. The Mountain Hawks are back on the field Wednesday when they travel to Easton to wrap up the season series with Lafayette. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. with coverage on ESPN+.

The Mountain Hawks are looking for their second win over the Leopards this season after dropping 3-of-4 at J. David Walker Field March 31-April 2. Lehigh won the third game of the series 10-7 behind three RBIs from Rother and three from first-year Ryan Cochran.

Rother leads Lehigh with a .345 batting average to go along with 13 home runs and 50 RBIs. Junior Tyler Young is second in batting at .326. Sophomore Andrew Kohl is second in home runs with eight, while classmate Rafe Perich is next in RBIs with 35.

Lafayette is 11-25 overall and 7-7 in the league. The Leopards will play at Villanova on Tuesday. Lafayette went 1-2 against Navy over the weekend at home.

Offensively, Lafayette is led by Michael Zarrillo (.333, 6 HR, 21 RBI). Seif Ingram has a team-leading 26 RBIs, while Pete Ciuffreda has a team-best eight home runs.

Following Wednesday's game, Lehigh will return to J. David Walker Field at Legacy Park to host Bucknell in a three-game series with a doubleheader set for Saturday at noon and a single game Sunday at noon.
