Mountain Hawks Conclude Strong Weekend at Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh women's track and field team completed the Bison Outdoor Classic Sunday evening at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. Among the highlights for the women over the three-day meet were eight new top 10 performances in addition to the PRs set at Bucknell.

Sprints
Junior Ashley Struck is now second all-time in the 400m. She posted a time of 56.49 to finish eighth in her event. Struck also led Lehigh in the 200m with a time of 25.16.

Senior Lauren Powell moved into Lehigh's top 10 in the 400m hurdles, with a PR of 1:04.34 to take ninth place on Lehigh's list and finish 11th overall.

First-year Gianna Mangili led Lehigh runners in the 100m (12.50) and posted a PR in the 200m (25.73).

Senior Ashley Griesmeyer led Lehigh in the 110m hurdles, with a time of 14.92,

Mid-Distance/Distance
Lehigh runners posted five all-time top 10 marks in the middle distance and distance events. On Saturday evening, junior Christina Yakaboski and senior Elena Perez-Segnini cracked Lehigh's top 10 in the 1500m. Yakaboski moved into sixth place all-time with a time of 4:30.55, finishing 18th. Perez-Segnini is now eighth all-time after running a 4:31.55 to finish 21st.

Sophomore Savanah Beavers closed out Saturday's women's action by running a 36.31.72 in the 10,000 meters to move into fifth place all-time. She finished 16th in the event.

Sunday began with first-year Maddison Hayes finishing third in the 3,000m with a time of 10:04.37, good for seventh all-time. First-year Abby Klebe led a Lehigh contingent in the 800m, running a 2:09.45 to finish sixth overall and move into fourth place all-time. Perez-Segnini was Lehigh's No. 2 finisher in the 800m, while junior Simone Davey set a PR at 2:14.55.

Junior Lindsay MacLellan led Lehigh in the 3,000m steeplechase with a PR of 11:07.92. Junior Abigail Tenreiro ran a strong 37:36.10 in the 10K as well.
First-year Abby Klebe led Lehigh in the 800m, with her time of 2:09.45 putting her fourth all-time at Lehigh. Klebe finished sixth overall.

Lehigh's 4x800m relay finished second as sophomore Riley Morrell, first-year Amber Barrios, Hayes and sophomore Lauryn Heskin ran 9:19.84.

Throws
Sophomore Grace Aggen led Lehigh in the discus, finishing seventh with a throw of 42.54 to move into eighth place all-time. She also led Lehigh in the shot put with a throw of 25.10.

Jumps
On Saturday, sophomore Lillian Mauger led Lehigh in the long jump, with a leap of 5.38m to finish in 13th place. Sophomore Keisha Modi was right behind at 5.37m.

First-year Laura Reigle cleared 3.80m in the pole vault to finish in fourth place. Sophomore Randi Conroy cleared 3.35m and finished in 14th position.

Junior Kerry Perna led four Lehigh entrants in the high jump, clearing 1.58m.

Sophomore Casey Talamini-Kelemen and junior Nina Cialone finished in the top 10 in the triple jump at Bucknell. Talamini-Kelemen jumped 11.66m, while Cialone hit 11.61.

The Mountain Hawks will compete at two meets next weekend: Moravian's Coach P Invite in Bethlehem, Pa. Friday-Saturday and the Rider Invitational, Saturday in Lawrenceville, N.J.
