Lehigh to Host No.13 Army in Midweek Matchup

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh women's lacrosse team will play its third straight ranked opponent when the Mountain Hawks welcome No. 13 Army to the Ulrich Sports Complex Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Lehigh has an overall record of 6-3 (1-2 PL), and Army is 9-0 (3-0 PL). The Mountain Hawks were on a six-game winning streak before falling to No. 9 Loyola and No. 25 Navy in their last two games
Army is coming off of a 12-8 win over Colgate on Saturday. The Black Knights scored five goals in the fourth quarter on the way to their ninth straight win.
Gabby Schneider scored the first goal for Lehigh against Navy on Saturday. She finished with two goals. Schneider has recorded at least two points in every game so far this season and remains three assists away from becoming the program's all-time leader in assists (106). Schneider also needs five more goals to reach 100 for her career.
Emma Eberhardt, who is third on the team in points scored this season, needs just five goals to eclipse the 100-goal mark as well. Eberhardt has scored 19 goals and dished out nine assists this season. She also scored a pair of goals against Navy.
Army's Brigid Duffy leads the Patriot League in goals per game (3.78). Duffy has tallied 46 points this season. Kathleen Sullivan is next with 43 points. She ranks third in the league in assists per game (2.33). Lehigh's Olivia Memeger is next with 1.89 assists per game.
Junior goalkeeper Hayley Hunt tallied nine saves against the Midshipmen. It marked the second straight game she's recorded nine saves.
Lehigh is 5-3 all-time against Army. The Mountain Hawks lost the last meeting 22-15. Before that, Lehigh played Army twice in 2021 and won both games. The Mountain Hawks won on March 20, 14-7 and also defeated the Black Knights 10-8 in the Patriot League Semifinals on May 6.
Following Wednesday's game, Lehigh will take on Bucknell Saturday in Lewisburg, Pa.
